As this summer draws to a close, I would like to share some of my thoughts with you. Being a citizen of this world myself, it is impossible for me to remain unaffected by everything happening around me—by the darkness that has shrouded all of humanity, the crimes against human existence, and the desecration of every living creature upon this magnificent planet. And do not doubt for a single moment that our sacred mother, Earth, is magnificent, or that she hasn't provided us with everything we need to live harmoniously and happily with her, even through her hardest times. It is another factor that misleads us and keeps us away from this harmony, depriving us of earthly happiness, and its name, in my humble opinion, is "distorted man" or "blind man." You may, of course, name it whatever else you wish. This human factor consists of individuals who, although born sacred, carrying God within them—just like all of us—lost two of their three essences at some point during their development, for reasons we shall not analyze here: the spiritual and the soulful, leaving them with only the material.Being stripped of the primary essence of human existence, these individuals can no longer recognize their severance from the divine character of their true nature, nor can they perceive the gradual loss of their emotions and spiritual resources. Consequently, finding themselves in such a state of "disability," they become more susceptible to their passions, which they are unable to control. As a result, they fall increasingly prey to their desires, capable only of tasting the intense material experiences offered by the fulfillment of these cravings. However, the more this occurs, the more they depend on their passions and seek them out frantically, eventually reaching a point where it is impossible to detach themselves or return to their previous human state. It is then that they begin to believe this is the only reality that exists, rejecting anything related to spirituality or soulful growth. They do not merely mock the divine and the spiritual essence of life itself, but they commit repeated acts of hubris against them, while using deceitful means to impose upon those around them the idea that nothing exists beyond matter. And if things ended there, the harm to the rest of humanity would be minor. However, they do not end there, as these "blind" individuals, being fully dependent on material things, naturally evolve much further within the material realm.I will provide an example to make this subject more clear. Let us assume we have two people, one who is "blind" and one who is not, and they are both gifted 1,000 euros. Most likely, the first one will keep it for himself, as he must satisfy his egoistic material nature in various ways, while the second one will distribute it in diverse ways to others, for only then will his soul and spirit be pleased. The final result will be that the "blind" man still has the 1,000 euros, even if he spent it on personal gratification through various items or investments that will return to him in some direct or indirect way, while the second will have zero left in his pocket, because he shared the money with loved ones or helped fellow humans in greater need than himself, as his conscience guided him to act. Now, take this simple example and expand upon it in your mind, in various directions and with larger quantities. To what conclusion do you arrive? The more material goods, the more power in society; the more power in society, the greater the "importance" among people; the greater the "importance," the higher the status; and the higher the status, the more powerful the authority. This, then, is the problem today in my view. "Blind" people, stripped of spiritual and soulful elements, utterly bound to matter—which they recognise and worship as the most fervent idolater—do not hesitate to trample over others to satisfy their desires. They have no qualms about selling weapons that will kill thousands of children and mothers, as long as such a thing yields any profit (and thus, power). They have no hesitation in viewing others as objects and numbers rather than human entities, in order to please their own massive "ego," which they believe to be unique, distinct, and superior. Furthermore, since not a trace of emotion remains within them, there is nothing capable of halting their monstrous onslaught, while, above all, they possess no shame. In my opinion, shame is the most fundamental of emotions in human existence, for it is what stops us and prevents undignified acts toward those around us. One feels shame before oneself to harm a fellow human, to do something selfish, to behave rudely to one's neighbor; one feels shame when they cease to be human. In conclusion, I would like to remind all of us of one thing. Each of us was born unique (one of the many proofs of this being our fingerprints), and since we emerged unique from the "factory" of God or the Universe (call it what you will), who gives a small group of people the authority to question this, to cultivate the idea of superiority for their own circle, and to consider the rest of us inferior? The solution, therefore, against this whirlwind that plunders our world, is to resist those who insult us, those who try to impose their own will upon us; to resist every arrogant expression of superiority, to mock the display of material goods, to desire only education, and to strive to acquire virtues. And above all, we must remember that we are unique—not because a human mind decided it for us, but because this uniqueness was gifted to us by a power beyond the material world. Thus, no one possesses the right to restrict our freedom, to manipulate us, or to turn us into a tool for their selfish whims. We were born free; let us, then, ensure we remain free and die as such.
